Rose had a lot of opinions about parenting and ethical living that she shared, unprompted, with others. What’s the most wild piece of unsolicited advice you’ve ever received? Has any unsolicited advice ever been helpful? As a childless adult, I can understand parents’ frustration with non-parents giving parenting advice. I actualy try to never, ever give parents advice because I am not on those front lines. That being said, we’ve all been children and experienced parenting. What parenting advice would you give someone from the experience you had being a child? And what do you think of the way Rose conducts herself not only with the adults in her life, but with Nathan?
What questions do you have for Sara during our discussion tomorrow night?

Rose's unsolicited advice habit is intersting because it shows how ethical living becomes performative when forced on others. The tension between genuine care and control is wher the character gets complex. Once had a family member who did the same thing, it was more about showing their moral superiority than actually helping.
“Sleep when the baby sleeps” might not be wild advice on it’s own but when I’m deep in the postpartum trenches battling crippling anxiety with a baby that wont sleep for more then an hour at a time it’s up there!
