Whew - the way my sister and I beef and are still all up on each other like Jen and Ursula!!! I understand there can be mad love in a m difficult relationship: true care, desire to protect, and lack of boundaries can all also coexist (tho not healthily)
I liked Jen's plan at the end of the book. I would be interested in a book about that, too. It didn't really change my perspective on Dan, but I had some sympathy for him throughout the book. Refugee life and resettlement are pretty destabilizing forces. As for Ursula and Jen, I think I lean more towards U taking advantage of J, both because J paid a higher price and because of their relationship before internment.
