My position was also that the burden should be shared and that if there was a non-medical route to birth control then we'd take it. My hubs and I (together 32 years) were a condom & diaphragm family. When we were certain we didn't want children, he had the snip. (I'm fortunate in that I didn't have painful periods or endometriosis or I would have taken the pill in a minute!)
