I'm really looking forward to the Harlem Renaissance show at the Met, particularly because my alma mater (Hampton University) will have art on loan. It's great to see the cross-collaboration between these institutions!
The Live Tour for Design Matters sounds lovely. Any plan to come to Florida? I know...wish I lived elsewhere.
I'm so angry about the murder of Laura Anne Carleton. We can't stop supporting each other from our marginalized communities, despite the intimidation.
I am so sad about 13 yo "Ashley". Something is freaking wrong in a system that allows this to happen to a child after she was raped. How can this happen in America? In some third=world country people don't have the resources, but HERE! My heart hurts for her. We should do BETTER!!!
I went to see Lilith Fair in high school, Hershey Stadium in PA with my neighbor. It was amazing, I owned all 3 albums they released and played it on repeat for years.
More RE "No Meat Required" -- I would have liked the article a lot more if it also dealt with a lot of the human rights abuses that are rampant in the production of such vegan staples as cashew nuts, the environmental impact of almond growing versus regenerative meat farming, and similar. At the end of the day, I would guess it's better for the environment to support small local regenerative farmers and buy their goods, rather than items that have been flown in from all over.
