I love a polyvocal novel and this one is no different. Among the many different characters’ perspectives to which we are treated, which was your favorite? And, of course, why? What were you able to learn about Darla and Theo from the voices of their friends and neighbors? How did those perspectives complicate or conflict with Darla and Theo’s opinions about themselves? Recently I had a conversation with a friend where we discussed auditing our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Although it’s impossible to be completely unbiased, do you think there’s a big difference between how others see you and how you see yourself?
Also, shameless plug, but another brilliant polyvocal novel is Hot Springs Drive by Lindsay Hunter. Paperback is out on November 12th!
